Q: When did FindLocalAuctions.com start?
A: March, 2009

Q: What is for sale here?
A: Well Auctioneers purchase advertising time for their upcoming auctions.  This is NOT an online auction site where you you can place online bids.  In Many cases the auctioneers will accept Proxy Bids, but that is between the bidder and the auctioneer and completely outside the scope of this website.

Q: How many people work for FindLocalAuctions.com?
A: Well there is me, Tim.  I am on this full time as I want it to be AWESOME.  I hired some talented developers to make the site, but now it is just me with some help from my wife, friends, and YOU who spread the word!

Q: I have never been to a live auction!  What do I do to purchase something?
A: Well first be prepared to have some fun.  It is an exciting and somewhat addictive activity.  When you arrive you will need to register, you will give the auction company information about you so they know who is bidding and making purchases.  In turn they will give you a bidder card with a number, YOUR NUMBER.  When you place a bid simply raise your hand if you like the price of what you are interested in.  The auctioneer or one of their helpers will give you a visual key that they have accepted your bid. They will continue with the bidding until no one else is willing to pay more.  If the auctioneer looks at you for another bid simply nod or raise your hand if you want to continue to bid.  If not shake your head no and you will be out of the bidding.  Trust me the first time your hand goes up your heart will start to race and you will get excited!!  Keep cool, and figure out what you are willing to pay before you start bidding and don't go over that amount.

Q: I am an auctioneer!  I want to list my auctions on your site.  Now what?
A: Easy, Click on the register link above and fill in the information.  Once you submit you will have an account.  The next page will create your personal FindLocalAuctions.com website.  Fill it in as completely as possible.  If you want to change any of this information it can easily be done at any time through you account.  Submit this information.  Click on create a new auction in the upper right and fill in all the information you want to about the auction.  You can add text to each image, when someone moves their mouse pointer over the images this text will be displayed.  When they click the image it will get bigger and the text will be beside the image as well.  You can add delete or edit auctions and you account information at any time of the day or night.
